Dr. Bennett synthesizes these different therapies into her own gentle, multi-dimensional method, including features of any or all of the following: NAMBUDRIPAD ALLERGY ELIMINATION TECHNIQUE (NAET)Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique, also known as NAET, is a non-invasive, drug-free, natural solution to eliminate allergies of all types and intensities. This therapy uses a blend of selective energy balancing, testing and treatment procedures from acupuncture, allopathy, chiropractic, nutritional science, and kinesiology. NAET can successfully eliminate adverse reactions to many substances including egg, milk, peanuts, penicillin, shellfish, latex, grass, ragweed, molds, perfume, animal dander, chemicals, cigarette smoke, and other environmental agents. The premise for NAET is that energy blockages in the human body are caused by incompatible electro-magnetic charges around the body, and these energy incompatibilities are capable of producing various ailments that are commonly referred to as an allergy or sensitivity. NAET was discovered by Devi S. Nambudripad, M.D. (WI), D.C., L.Ac., Ph.D. as a result of her search to relieve herself of her own severe allergies. Dr. Nambudripad has trained medical practitioners from all over the world and thousands of patients have been successfully treated with permanent and amazing results. NAET therapy typically follows a determined sequence, which is then tailored to the individual needs of the patient. Patients should expect an ongoing, cumulative treatment process for a period of time, as determined by the practitioner, to achieve the best results with this approach. NEUROMODULATION TECHNIQUE (NMT)NMT is one of the latest in a series of bio-energetic techniques that uses muscle response testing to obtain information about problems in physiological processes in a patient's body. The founder of NeuroModulation Technique, Dr. Leslie Feinberg, D.C., of Oregon, has hypothesized that the muscle response testing, done carefully and properly, constitutes the exchange of information between the practitioner and the patient's autonomic nervous system, which controls the main communication between all necessary systems such as the endocrine, neurological, cardiovascular respiratory, digestive etc. The practitioner poses a series of verbal and non-verbal questions that can be answered only YES or NO through muscle response testing. The practitioner will either use the hand or arm to test for a strong or weak response. A strong test means that the answer to the question is a NO. A weak test means that it is a YES to the inquiry. The practitioner looks for the patient's autonomic control system to indicate, when prompted appropriately, whether the body senses (on a subconscious level): physiological problems in sensory or motor responses; reactions to allergens; a recognition, on the energetic level, of the presence of infectious agents that could be stressing the patient's immune system; or, the presence of toxic substances or a buildup of harmful body chemicals, any of which can cause a host of problems. The procedure is done in a seated position, with the patient facing the practitioner. While traditional acupuncture points on the back are stimulated using acupressure techniques, no acupuncture needles are required. JAFFE-MELLOR TECHNIQUE (JMT)JMT, or Jaffe-Mellor Technique, is a revolutionary new way to significantly reduce the pain and in many cases completely resolve all symptoms associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, Crohn's disease, and many other autoimmune disorders, as well as, allergies, trauma-related and post-surgical pain syndromes, migraine, candidiasis, digestive disorders, motor-sensory neurological disturbances and other neurological syndromes, recurrent subluxations and musculoskeletal disturbances, skin conditions, and emotional/psychological disorders. JMT uses applied kinesiology and acupressure to address the source of these debilitating conditions. JMT includes an advanced muscle response testing method (MRT), desensitization, deactivation, intervention, and acupressure. Each step of the JMT technique requires evaluation (using MRT and appropriate questions) of the autonomic nervous system, for glitches resulting in physiological malfunction. The glitches are then removed by using a correction script to deactivate the autoimmune response and to restore optimal physiological function. The use of gentle mechanical agitation along spinal segments, together with special breathing patterns, helps to reinforce the modifications. This therapy consistently provokes the ANS (autonomic nervous system) to function optimally, initiating the body's inherent ability to heal. JMT was developed by Carolyn Jaffe, L.Ac. and Judy Mellor, R.N. EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE (EFT)EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) centers on the profound effects of the body's subtle energies, following the theory that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system. Accordingly, EFT is an emotional form of acupuncture that uses no needles. Instead, certain meridian energy points are tapped with the fingertips while the client is tuned in to the problem. Until recently, subtle energies that circulate throughout the body have been largely been ignored by western scientists. With EFT, however, these subtle energies are considered to be the front- running cause of emotional upsets. Results obtained are far beyond those of conventional methods. In addition, EFT often provides relief for a very wide range of physical symptoms. YUEN METHODThis energetic technique is based on ancient Chinese Shaolin healing. Dr. Kam Yuen D.C. developed the method after a lifetime study in the martial arts, incorporating his training as a structural engineer, a doctor of chiropractic, and his work with nutritional therapy and homeopathy. The premise is that the body functions like a computer: one is either on or off, strong or weak, to any given issue. Pain is a sign that something is wrong with the flow of energy in the body. In the East, pain is seen as a symptom of a deeper issue. When there is a disturbance or blockage with the flow of energy in the body, it can manifest as a physical condition. Finding the root of the problem and eliminating it makes it possible to release the physical symptom as well as emotional issues, fears, phobias, and limitations. Only then can optimal healing take place. Humans are multi-faceted beings with multiple levels of consciousness. The Yuen Method works to make sure that all levels of consciousness are congruent so that pain may be eliminated immediately and goals attained. BIO-KINETICSThe Bio-Kinetics procedures were developed over the past thirty-plus years by Dr. Lawrence E. Newsum D.C. of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. He discovered that by stimulating a certain area in the upper cervical region with a simple but powerful instrument he was able to activate the brainstem and influence change throughout the body. The technique was first used for physical correction of spinal and extremity conditions, but has been found to be very effective for eliminating anxieties, depression, suppressed phobias (such as fear of flying), and other negative emotional states. He named the procedure Bio-Kinetics (Bio meaning "life" and Kinetic meaning "movement") because it was found that the process increased nerve activity directly.
